::adventureland::

kinda like eight hundred other movies out there yet kinda charming all the same. it was set in the late 1980's were a kid is getting ready for his best summer yet. the summer before college. but mom and dad turn up broke and make him get a job. so embarks the journey of working at adventureland. the only place that would hire him. were he learns the up's and down's of a true relationship and real life.

despite your thoughts of the casting the acting was not that bad. (trying hard not to point fingers at kristen. trying so so so hard. nope. 'points finger at kristen') this movie and its characters truly brought around the 80's feel.  everything from the cars, and clothes to the music and mustaches.

it lacks originality but i hate to admit it.... it is a good movie.

::footloose (2011)::

you know. whenever i hear a production company is going to be doing a remake of a classic film i can't help but cringe. to me it means that the production company is a. running out of ideas and b. needs to make money so they choose something good. and most of the time... the remakes suck. but footloose? it was kinda good!

going into watching it I was expecting it to be set in the same time period as the old one. and what a shocker it was to me when i figured out it wasn't. i think that's what made it good though. the dancing was my kind of dancing and the acting wasn't half bad (but it wasn't half good either. see what i did there? see?! SEE?!)

the characters were well developed and the plot was decent seeing as it is a dancing movie. but of course. nothing will ever replace the original. but lets get one thing straight. if anyone daring to try and remake a harry potter movie. i will hunt you down and kill you all by my self.
